The number of people across the country needing the help of food banks has risen exponentially this year - providing not only food, they offer support and connection for those in our community who need it most.
Starting out in November 2018 as a single street stall, Tooting Community Kitchen has gone from strength to strength. Today I had the honour of cutting the ribbon to open their new permanent home. The organisers and volunteers work so hard to support the most vulnerable, and today was a fantastic reminder of all that is good about our Tooting community.
Tooting Community Kitchen is now based at 102 Upper Tooting Road (up Price Close). They are open for food collection for those in need every Friday between 11am and 12.30pm and food donations can be dropped off between 9am and 1pm.
If you can, please consider giving a little to help out this wonderful charity!
