In Parliament, I renewed my calls to the Foreign Secretary for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Palestinian parents in Gaza love their children as much as we love ours, but theirs are buried under rubble. Millions are facing starvation. How many more need to die before the Government call for a ceasefire?
We have heard lots about the Government's heartless Rwanda scheme. This circus is the latest saga in the Tory melodrama, but it is the most vulnerable people whose lives they're playing with. Britain is better than this cruel, cynical Tory Government. I have worked with refugees for more than a decade. I have heard their experiences of war, violence and terror. On Small Business Saturday, I’m at the local family-run business, Lark in Earlsfield, to showcase small businesses, who are the beating heart of our community.
This year, make sure you show our small businesses some love and buy local.
This morning, I joined pupils at Garratt Park School in Earslfield to plant the 500,000th tree of Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan's Trees for London scheme.
It's vital that we make London a green city for the future, where everyone has access to healthy outdoor space. |
