This week marks International Women’s Day. It’s a time to celebrate all the brilliant women who make our community, the incredible place it is.
Today, I brought together a group of fantastic leading women in business and community organisations. Their stories were inspiring and shows what women can do when we support each other. Was great to be at the BATCA Community Awards celebrating the heroes who strive to make our area better.
Wandsworth Labour are freezing council tax for another year to help families through the cost-of-living crisis.
At the same time, we're improving services and building a better Wandsworth. My South London Press column is out today! As it was Valentine's Day this week, I wrote a love letter to my local area.
Across Balham, Earlsfield, Furzedown and Tooting, there is such an amazing range of people and culture locally. Read my article here👇 https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/ Wandsworth is bursting with creativity and culture. Our art, food and history are what makes our community such a great place to live.
Today, Fleur Anderson, MP for Putney, and Marsha de Cordova, MP for Battersea, and I have written to Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to support Wandsworth’s bid to be London Borough of Culture 2025. As the MP for Tooting, the safety of our community is my top priority. I am delighted that more than 100 local businesses have already signed up to become a Safe Space.

Our brilliant new councillor, Sean Lawless achieved the best result for Labour, since 1986. I've worked with Sean for years and know that he will be a brilliant representative for Tooting.
Thank you for everyone that voted for Labour. Full results: Labour - 1,888 (+6.8%) Tories - 542 (+0.8%) Green Party - 261 (-5.5%) Liberal Democrats - 113 (-2.0%) Changes w./ 2022
With the nights getting longer and recent rise in crime, some people feel uncomfortable walking in public alone. I’ve launched my Safe Space campaign, where local businesses can sign up to offer a place of safety.
For businesses that would like to sign-up, head to drrosena.co.uk/safespace
A great time had by all at my local coffee morning, today. Pleasure to invite local residents to share a cuppa and hear about their local issues. Thanks to local organisations and the police for coming along and listening to residents.
Today, I brought together officials from Wandsworth Council and Wandsworth Police to discuss what we can do to make Tooting Broadway a safer, cleaner and more vibrant place to live and work.
