Refugees in Calais

I have been overwhelmed with the generosity of Tooting residents; with just a few days notice so many individuals and businesses donated large amounts of supplies for those living in the refugee camp in Calais.

On my return from the camp I will be pressing the Government to understand why no unaccompanied children have been brought over to the UK since the change in law earlier this year. 

​For me it is unacceptable that children as young as 8 years old have the right to be in the UK and are left stranded in unsafe and vulnerable conditions.
