Between 71 - 89% of screen time on Match of the Day contains gambling sponsorship. How can anyone suggest young people won't be susceptible to gambling when even a highlights package is littered with gambling ads. Over eighty constituents wrote to me this week with concerns over pay and conditions for Nurses working in the NHS. Nurses do a fantastic job in extremely difficult circumstances, yet the determination, professionalism and compassion of nurses comes against the backdrop of years of pay restraint. Indeed, the Royal College of Nursing estimates that since 2010 there has been a real-terms drop in earnings of 14%. This is entirely unacceptable, and I will continue to pressure the Government into giving Nurses the pay they deserve. |
