Nye Bevan Unit at St George's

It was a pleasure to visit the Nye Bevan Unit at St George's today and catch up with some of the staff. Named after the great Labour politician and creator of the NHS, the unit is a purpose-built emergency surgical assessment unit. 

With an average length of stay in the unit consistently below 10 hours, the facility will be important in the winter months to come, by relieving pressure on the hospital.
