More funding for Met Police

Today is the Spring Statement.

We urgently need to tackle violent crime by boosting police numbers. Over 70% of the Met's budget comes from the Government, and so every London Labour MP co-signed my letter to the Chancellor demanding more funding for the Met Police.

It is very disappointing that NO Conservative MP wanted to add their signature.

Why would someone, who puts profit before people, sign something that's in the common good? It makes complete sense and comes as no surprise at all that Tories and their friends in ivory castles would not want to spend money on anything but protecting their own interests.
I do not believe in self serving greed nore do I beleive in free handouts for anyone with a sad story. I sit in the middle-ground where everyone get's some support, but not endless support. Those who have plenty, must share, but those who receive must understand it's not a right.
Being the son of two Tories, labour do shoot themselves in the foot by supporting borrowing to fund causes that wouldn't find funding in most societies. Labour must be seen to support personal responsibility.
Middle Engand are fed up being squeezed by the greedy and the lazy.
