We all had a wonderful afternoon at the Tooting Primary Summer Fair.
There were a lot of happy families and teachers. The TPA should be super proud of themselves for a job well done.

Today I had an amazing time at the BATCA Fun Day. This is such a warm, welcoming and inclusive event that brings everyone from Tooting and Balham together. I mean, where else can you round up a group of strangers - now friends - for a game of cricket in your heels? It was great to spend time with everyone today. Thank you to everyone who came along, and to all the organisers who made it happen. I had such a good time visiting Hillbrook Primary School for their Summer Fayre today. It was great to see so many adults and children alike enjoying the activities, games, and even rides. As you can see, I certainly enjoyed myself. Thank you so much to Debbie Hart for the kind invitation. Hope to see you all again in the new school year. Today it was a real treat to return to Nightingale House in Balham and spend some time with the residents here. I got to try out my baking skills with Anne. But I think I might have to come back for some more practice. And a huge happy birthday to Phyllis who turns 100 soon! Thank you all for such a lovely afternoon. And congratulations on your recognition as the Jewish Community's first ever 'Outstanding' care home. This week I spoke to Mitie employees working at St George's Hospital facing redundancies and job changes. This contract is worth over £100m. Staff were told their jobs and hours wouldn't change - I will back them all the way! You can watch the video here: twitter.com/DrRosena/status/1148890370933215232 Today is historic: I am overjoyed to be taking part in the London Pride Parade with the FA. And it's their first time too. This year also marks 50 years since the Stonewall Riots. As you may know, the riots in 1969 were a landmark moment in history, which helped spark the fight for gay rights around the world. This is such a positive step for football; it sends such a wonderful message. Proud to be involved with Pride! |
