It was a pleasure to attend the launch of the new Phoenix Unit today. The work that will take place there is completely life changing.

Today I met with the National Union of Journalists to discuss what is happening around the Newsquest cuts. 

​I believe that local newspapers, such as the Wandsworth Guardian, are at the heart of a community and bring us together. 

Today I was delighted to open the Floreat Wandsworth Community Garden. 

It was great to see so much community spirit in one place. I hope friendships can grow and enjoyment can be found in the garden. 

It was great to meet with Tooting residents to discuss all things environment.

I was delighted that so many individuals and groups care about Tooting and are doing so much to ensure we can all live in a safe and clean environment. 

I would like to say thank you to all constituents who have been engaging with my Tidy up Tooting Campaign. After a month of constituents reporting fly tipping I met with Council to discuss what can be done going forward. 

Since my meeting with the Waste Team at Wandsworth Council they have announced stiffer fines for fly tippers and a larger enforcement team. 

​I will be continuing to monitor the fly-tipping situation around Tooting to ensure we are all able to live in safe and clean area. 

The much loved Cafe Blanca is currently under threat at Wandsworth Common station.  In order to understand why this is I wrote to Govia and Southern Rail to enquire about the lease.

I also visited Cafe Blanca to speak to the manager . I full understan that Cafe Blanca is much loved by the community that use Wandsworth Common Station. 

​I will continue to look at what can be done on this. 

Today I visited Springfield Hospital to say thank you to staff for the work they do. 

I was pleased to be able to attend the opening of the new building and pledge my support to ending mental health stigma. 

Thank you to Furzedown Annual Chairty Events (FACE) for inviting me to attend their quiz night. 

After a game of head and tails I was delighted to present a cheque to St George's Trust for their teenage and young adult 'chill out room'. 

In my first 100 days of being MP for Tooting Southern Rail have provided residents travelling on the Victoria to Balham Line a delayed service 68% of the time. I find this unacceptable.

​I have therefore written to Rt Hon Chris Grayling to add my voice to calls for the franchise to be handed over to TfL.
