AFC Wimbledon Stadium

27/7/2016

I support AFC Wimbledon's quest to return home, but want them to answer some concerns surrounding the Plough Lane development.

There must be robust plans in place to handle travel congestion and minimise disruption during construction. Furthermore, I want them to look at building more affordable homes on the site.

I'll be raising these issues with the Mayor of London and the Leader of Merton Council. Yesterday, I spoke at length with the Chief Executive of AFC Wimbledon about my concerns.

Tooting wants to welcome AFC Wimbledon home but we need reassurances first.

Meeting Tooting Businesses

19/7/2016

This morning it was great to go on another walkabout around Tooting, meeting local businesses.

Tooting Market had been recently affected by the water shortage - something which I've raised with Thames Water.

In general businesses wanted more provision for parking spaces in Tooting, I'll be making a representation to the Council on their behalf.

I'd love to come and meet your business, please get in touch if you want to meet up.

Thames Water have let Tooting down. I want answers.

Today I sent my letter to the Chief Executive of Thames Water expressing my disappointment about the recent water outage.

Their response was unacceptable, Tooting residents were left without an adequate water supply for days.

To make matters worse, they failed to properly communicate when the problem would be sorted.

Tooting needs answers, as soon as they reply I will share their response.
