The children's cancer centre at St George's Hospital in Tooting is at risk of closure under plans being considered.
This is deeply concerning. St George's children's cancer centre has more than 25 years of expertise delivering the highest quality care for patients and has a fantastic reputation for building collaborative relationships between different clinical specialists, which will be lost if the services are moved away from St George's. The service is already in partnership with the Royal Marsden, and serves a large part of South London, Surrey, and Southeast England. Under these plans, patients will be forced to travel to the Evelina Children's Hospital in central London. Parents have made it very clear that it is easier, cheaper, safer, and more comfortable to take their children to hospital in Tooting. We need your help to keep it at St George's. The service is already loved by children, families and staff alike, and our local community needs to come together and tell the Government and NHS England to keep the children’s cancer service at St George's Hospital.
