Recently, the Government announced plans to close ticket offices across the country, including locally at Balham, Earlsfield, Tooting and Wandsworth Common.
Despite this being a decision which would affect over 150 million passenger journeys, passengers have been given until 26 July to respond to the consultation - just three weeks after the announcement. This consultation period is a sham - it does not give rail users enough time to have their views heard and allows the Government to dodge accountability for the closures. These closures could disproportionately affect the most vulnerable in our community, including older people and those with disabilities. Please fill in my survey to make your views heard and oppose the Government’s sham consultation on this important issue. |
