It is an honour to be the MP for Tooting, I have the best job in the world - thank you to everyone who has made it possible.

​In recent months, I have been pushing for Labour to be explicitly Remain, while backing a public vote on Brexit - this is the single biggest issue which local people and local members contact me about daily. Preventing a no-deal Brexit and pushing for a People’s Vote must be our absolute priority at the moment.

My work has not stopped there of course. In the last year I have been to most schools in the area, supporting them and witnessing first-hand how budget cuts are affecting our children's education and future. 

Everyone deserves the best possible healthcare system. This is why I continue to stand up for our NHS both in Parliament and as a local A&E doctor. I am proud of our NHS and will never stop fighting for it. 

I want to continue as the local MP for Tooting, and to do that - I'll need your support.
