Hopefully you will have seen the announcement that the Labour Party will officially back a public vote. This comes after many months of internal discussions, where I have been pushing for us to back a People's Vote.

I wanted to clarify what this means in terms of a ballot paper. The Labour proposal is to have one question with two answers: Theresa May's Brexit Deal (or the next credible alternative) versus remain. 

I proudly campaigned to remain, voted against triggering Article 50, and have been a vocal critic of Brexit from the start. I firmly believe our best option is to remain - so have no doubt that I would campaign for remain in a public vote.

That is not to say the remain campaign got it right last time. I want a local remain campaign to be led by people like you and I. If a referendum were called, I want us to be ready. If you would be interested in getting involved in a potential campaign then sign up here.
