New initiative launched for the over 50s LGBT community in Wandsworth

The day before International Women’s Day, an impressive group of women were sitting in a packed committee room in the Houses of Parliament. All from Tooting, they had been invited by their local MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan for doing inspirational work in the community. From charity volunteers to entrepreneurs to social enterprise starters; three words stood out: Strength, solidarity and support.

No one goes to A&E for fun, but this Government is leaving them no other option. It is no one's fault but this Government that A&E waiting times are as long as they are.

This Government cannot create a 7-day NHS on a 5-day team and rota gaps across the NHS are proving that this is happening. I therefore asked the Secretary of State for Health to halt the imposition of the Junior Doctor Contract.
