Crisis Assistance for Food and FuelWandsworth Borough Council can provide support by way of supermarket vouchers that can be used for groceries and fuel vouchers for pre-payment meters to cover short-term needs which prevent serious risk to the health and safety of a person or their family. The payments are intended to meet one-off needs rather than on-going expenses.

Discretionary Housing Payments (DHPs) are for people receiving Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, including a housing element, who require further financial assistance with housing costs because their benefit does not cover their full rent.

Wandsworth Borough Council may also provide discretionary support by way of furniture (e.g. beds) and white goods (e.g. fridges) to the most vulnerable Wandsworth residents who are experiencing hardship and crisis.

Council Tax Reduction helps people who are on a low income to pay part or all of their council tax.
You can also get 25% off your Council Tax bill if you live in Wandsworth Borough and you’re the only adult living in your home. This is different from Council Tax Reduction and applies to anyone.

CREW Energy are working in partnership with South West London Energy Advice Partnership (SWLEAP) to provide Free Energy Advice to help you save money on your energy bills.
CREW advisors work with you to analyse your energy usage, heating system, insulation, lighting and energy behaviours. You can benefit from a range of energy saving items and which are installed at no cost, such as low energy lightbulbs (LED’s), radiator heat reflectors and insulation materials. |
