The suffering of the world's most vulnerable is palpable. And now, because of climate change, they face even greater threats. In May 2019, Parliament declared a climate emergency. Today I asked the Government how they will provide assistance to the most vulnerable people on the planet. You can see the video here: twitter.com/i/status/1151496826849284096

In my capacity as Shadow Sports Minister, it was fantastic to meet with Everton in the Community and Everton Football Club today. We discussed at length their planned move from Goodison Park to the Bramley-Moore Dock. It is a very impressive project that focuses on leaving a legacy for the community. This is the way it should be done, and I cannot wait to see the finished result. As progressives, we are united in solidarity with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib. Though we may be separated by an ocean, we are united in our desire for a world which opens its arms to everyone - without prejudice. This is such a warm, welcoming and inclusive event that brings everyone from Tooting and Balham together. I mean, where else can you round up a group of strangers - now friends - for a game of cricket in your heels? It was great to spend time with everyone today. Thank you to everyone who came along, and to all the organisers who made it happen. I had such a good time visiting Hillbrook Primary School for their Summer Fayre today. It was great to see so many adults and children alike enjoying the activities, games, and even rides. As you can see, I certainly enjoyed myself. Thank you so much to Debbie Hart for the kind invitation. Hope to see you all again in the new school year. This week I spoke to Mitie employees working at St George's Hospital facing redundancies and job changes. This contract is worth over £100m. Staff were told their jobs and hours wouldn't change - I will back them all the way! You can watch the video here: twitter.com/DrRosena/status/1148890370933215232 Today is historic: I am overjoyed to be taking part in the London Pride Parade with the FA. And it's their first time too. This year also marks 50 years since the Stonewall Riots. As you may know, the riots in 1969 were a landmark moment in history, which helped spark the fight for gay rights around the world. This is such a positive step for football; it sends such a wonderful message. Proud to be involved with Pride! A group of us women MPs, journalists and politicos from across the political divide headed to Lyon, coming together for an an amazing cause: the pursuit of gender equality. We played in 40 degree heat to break the world record for the biggest ever football match. 3,000 players, five whole days, and one goal - to prove that any girl can! Well, that and the world record... I was contacted by concerned residents in their droves about the welfare of Nazanin and her husband, Richard Ratcliffe, following news of their ongoing hunger strike. Today I met Richard on day 12 of his hunger strike. He is such a humble and gentle person, despite everything his family is going through. We must Free Nazanin.
