Christmas across Tooting

As we enter December is is a joy to see the lights come on and the decorations go up as the community around Tooting, Balham, Furzedown and Earlsfield prepare for Christmas. Switch-on events are happening for Christmas lights at the following locations:

Tooting
Outdoor Christmas market in church grounds, performances from local schools, live music and Christmas tree lights switch-on.

Featuring Finton School and Trinity Road Chapel singing carols.

Date: Friday 5 December
Time: 4 to 5pm (Switch-on at 4.30pm)
Location: Bellevue Road

Springfield Village
Refreshments, tea and coffee in the new Springfield Development with carols from Fircroft School.

Furzedown
Carols, choirs and lots of community spirit, and of course Santa

Date: Friday 5 December
Time: 3 to 5.30pm (switch-on at 4pm)

Wandsworth Town Festival
The Christmas Festival will be a full day of festive fun. There is a market packed with great food and gifts, live performances, and families can visit Santa. Their will also be a charity raffle supporting Wandsworth Foodbank

Location: Southside Shopping Centre and the Ram Quarter

Local Churches and community groups are also coming together to celebrate the season. Some local favourites are back as well as some exciting new events:

• Beer and Carols at the Rose & Crown (Friday 19 December 6pm & Tuesday 23 December 7pm)
  
• Carols in the Courtyard, All Saints Church, Brudenell Road (Friday 19 December 6pm)
• Live Nativity featuring a animals from a travelling farm at Earlsfield Baptist Church (Sunday 21 December 4-6)
• Christmas Fair at Holy Trinity Church, Upper Tooting (Friday 5 December 6:30pm)
