People from across the community joined me this morning at Tooting Broadway asking TfL to 'Give us a lift!' I heard stories of the challenges faced with accessing transport from so many different perspectives. Sign the petition here! On Easter Monday today, my heart is with all Catholics across the world following the passing of Pope Francis.
His message of humanity, tolerance and social justice will forever be remembered. Happy Easter to everyone celebrating today - may your day be filled with peace and joy.   I gave Royal Mail a four week deadline to sort out local post delays. This week, they implemented changes to the way post is handled in Tooting. This should mean, from next week, post is delivered on-time.

 It was fantastic to see the announcement that Smallwood Primary School and Garratt Park School will be receiving funding from the Mayor of London’s Greener Schools scheme. The Scheme helps schools install heat pumps, solar panels and other technologies to assist with schools hitting environmental targets.
Sustainability and green initiatives are absolutely vital in tackling climate change, and I am very pleased that local schools have been selected to help lead the way. With the ceasefire in Gaza in tatters, the devastation and human suffering there will only continue. In Parliament, I pushed the Foreign Secretary, David Lammy MP, to confirm whether his department holds any evidence that international law has been violated. |
