Tooting Common

14/1/2021

If you've headed to Tooting Common for your daily exercise, you may have noticed that it is heavily waterlogged at the moment – so much so that many of its paths are virtually unusable. I am aware that this is incredibly inconvenient for the countless local residents - myself included - who are relying on this green corner of Tooting for our physical and mental health.

I have contacted the Environment Team at Wandsworth Council as well as Enable, who manage our local parks on their behalf, to find out what is being done to resolve this situation and return our beloved Common to its usual working order.

I hope to hear back from both in due course, so do check back here for updates, and keep an eye on the Friends of Tooting Common Twitter and Facebook pages for updates. In the meantime, you can always put your wellies on and head down to the Common to see for yourself.
